Phone: (607)-535-4448

LaFayette Park is located in the heart of downtown Watkins Glen at the corner of Fourth & Decatur streets. The park hosts "Concerts in the Park" on Tuesday evenings from 7 pm to 9 pm in the months of July and August. It also is host to a Farmers Market beginning in May and running through October from 3 pm to 7 pm.

The bandstand in the center of LaFayette Park was erected in Memory of Charles N. Cole, Mayor of the Village of Watkins Glen from 1919 to 1923; 1927 to 1932 and 1936 to 1938.

LaFayette Park is available for picnics, reunions, weddings, and the like. Please find the application below.

Memo from Mayor Leszyk..."It saddens me to inform the public that we will be suspending the Tuesday night concerts in Lafayette Park.  After speaking with the County and public health there was a concern of the number of people and social distancing for last Tuesdays concert.  As you are aware the governor has an executive order restricting organized events to 50 people.  It is impossible in a park setting to control the number of people arriving and we simply do not have the staff to regulate the crowd.  The Board's first priority is the health and safety of our community as well as protecting the village from potential fines for violating the executive order.  If and when the Governor eases restrictions of events of this nature we will resume the concerts.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter."
